I’ve started implementing a new design, and I hope to have it done at the end of the week.

If things are a bit chaotic please come back later and check out the final result.

Thanks..

Have you ever heard about cloud computing? If not, you will get familiar with it very soon. It’s the new hype on the web, and basically takes us back to the old times with only a few large computers. The difference now is that “everyone” has access to them.
icloud1

One of the services that is based on this is icloud.com
They give you 3 GB of storage and your own desktop online, so you can access your desktop anywhere anytime without dragging your laptop around.

You also get:

  • 50 free applications
  • a public profile
  • a free email
  • and much more

icloud2

iCloud currently support Internet Explorer and Firefox, and if you want to try it out, go to their website today and register for free. A activation email will be sent to your email address shortly after you have registered and you may then log-in with your user name and password.

I just  got a mail from the starter of a new advertising “network” called Adtug.com. It does not seem like they got a lot of clients at the moment, and they are just opening up for registration,  but I’ve decided to give them a chance. The owners of this PPC network is not new in the online business. They also run a leading online game in it’s category, some of you might have heard about it before, the online basketball management game, Charazay Basketball Manager.

Adtug.com pay by Paypal when you’ve earned over $10 and it’s NET 7! But the most interesting thing is that they give the publisher a 80% cut, that’s pretty high in the market as the average seem to be around 60-70%. As a little gift to new advertisers they get $10 sign-up bonus to run their first test campaign. This is basically free advertising, and it can’t hurt to try right? I’ll add their ads to my site in the following days.

I’ve been testing out LinkWorth for a few weeks now and I have to say that I’m not very impressed, yet.

I’ve mainly been testing out their affiliate program, that is very good on paper. The main problem is that almost every blog out there is a member, and that makes it hard to refer new members to their services. Due to my blog beeing pretty new I have not got any requests for advertisements and reviews on my blog, but I hope this might change later on. I’m not giving up and will keep working with LinkWorth in the future.

This blog has been active for one month+ now and it’s about time to check out the status so far.

I’ve had 1900 visitors viewing 2400 pages. 52,91% of those visits are coming from entrecard.com, and 65,5% are from the United States according to Google Analytics.

When it comes to making money I’ve used several channels and some seems better than other.

Kontera ContentLink: $0,08 (let me know if you want an invite, I got 25 invites left ;)
LinkWorth: $0,00 and 0 affiliates.
TTZMedia: $0,00 and 0 affiliates.
PerformancingAds: $0,00 and 1 affiliate.
AdToll: $0,07 and 1 affiliate.

So as you can see, it hasn’t been a huge success, but good things comes to the patient ones or something like that.. ;)

AVG has released a new version of their antivirus software. AVG is considered one of the best antivirus programs on the marked, and offers good protection while not occupying a lot of the system resources.

One of the most exiting news are the Identity Theft Protection.

Identity Theft Protection prevents new and unknown threats from stealing your personal information like bank and credit card details.

“Traditional” viruses and spyware keep on growing – every day we see tens of thousands of new examples in our labs. And online criminals are getting smarter– they keep inventing types of threat that have never been seen before, usually aimed at stealing your bank account, credit card details or other personal information, so we’ve developed an extra layer of identity theft protection that sits on top of traditional antivirus and antispyware software. It looks for changes in your PC’s behavior that are caused by new threats – and then stops them in their tracks.

AVG is available in both a free version and pay version where you got a more complete security package for your computer. It should also be mentioned that AVG is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

I’ve just signed up with LinkWorth, and it seems quite promising. They offer a lot of different advertising types and services, as linkads, linkpost, linkwords witch will be the most interesting types for bloggers. You can sign up for the services you want to use. I would recommend you to sign up for the linkpost, as it’s perfect for bloggers. Get content and get paid.

And don’t forget to join their affiliate program.
They will pay you $50.00 for each new account sent to them through your affiliate link. The money will be added to your account when the referring account has earned $100.
And that is not all, they will also pay you 5% earnings on all recurring charges for the life of the account. Now, how great isn’t that?

So join here and get started today. (and yes, this is my affiliate link, why not help each other? :)

After the campaign to remove Internet Explorer 6 from computers worldwide started, there have been a lot of feedback saying that the users that still struggles with IE6 is users on company computers, without admin rights and then unable to upgrade or install an other browser.

But there is a solution to save them as well, while their IT departments are sitting on the fences watching, not doing anything about it. What you can do, if your sorry ass is affected by incompetent technical staff, is to get a portable version of a better browser.

I’ll guide you to two different browsers that works from a USB stick, Opera@USB and Firefox Portable . None of these are official versions of the browsers, but both runs the newest versions of the browser.

If you don’t have a USB stick you can install Google Chrome, that don’t require administrator rights to install.
It’s your choice.

Mozilla has decided to rename their next version from 3.1 to 3.5 because of the major changes that have been done for this release. This was confirmed by the VP of Engineering for the Mozilla Corporation , Mike Shaver, in a comment to the newsgroup mozilla.dev.planning.  Some of the major changes that are released in this version is the new JavaScript engine Tracemonkey, Private Browsing, support for HTML5-elements as canvas, video and audio, as well as support for W3Cs Geolocation API Specification.

Adding a new photo that i took at our cottage for a few days ago. This bird came very close to me and seemed to trust me, probably because I had food to give him. I got a lot of photos of him, but struggled with the light as the bird got a bit dark. I was not able to show of his true colors as I wanted. But for my frst bird shot, I pretty pleased. The bird is a Great Tit.
