LinkWorth followup
I’ve been testing out LinkWorth for a few weeks now and I have to say that I’m not very impressed, yet.
I’ve mainly been testing out their affiliate program, that is very good on paper. The main problem is that almost every blog out there is a member, and that makes it hard to refer new members to their services. Due to my blog beeing pretty new I have not got any requests for advertisements and reviews on my blog, but I hope this might change later on. I’m not giving up and will keep working with LinkWorth in the future.

Status so far..
This blog has been active for one month+ now and it’s about time to check out the status so far.
I’ve had 1900 visitors viewing 2400 pages. 52,91% of those visits are coming from entrecard.com, and 65,5% are from the United States according to Google Analytics.
When it comes to making money I’ve used several channels and some seems better than other.
Kontera ContentLink: $0,08 (let me know if you want an invite, I got 25 invites left ![]()
LinkWorth: $0,00 and 0 affiliates.
TTZMedia: $0,00 and 0 affiliates.
PerformancingAds: $0,00 and 1 affiliate.
AdToll: $0,07 and 1 affiliate.
So as you can see, it hasn’t been a huge success, but good things comes to the patient ones or something like that..

AVG 8.5
AVG has released a new version of their antivirus software. AVG is considered one of the best antivirus programs on the marked, and offers good protection while not occupying a lot of the system resources.
One of the most exiting news are the Identity Theft Protection.
Identity Theft Protection prevents new and unknown threats from stealing your personal information like bank and credit card details.
“Traditional” viruses and spyware keep on growing - every day we see tens of thousands of new examples in our labs. And online criminals are getting smarter– they keep inventing types of threat that have never been seen before, usually aimed at stealing your bank account, credit card details or other personal information, so we’ve developed an extra layer of identity theft protection that sits on top of traditional antivirus and antispyware software. It looks for changes in your PC’s behavior that are caused by new threats – and then stops them in their tracks.
AVG is available in both a free version and pay version where you got a more complete security package for your computer. It should also be mentioned that AVG is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Browser on a stick
After the campaign to remove Internet Explorer 6 from computers worldwide started, there have been a lot of feedback saying that the users that still struggles with IE6 is users on company computers, without admin rights and then unable to upgrade or install an other browser.
But there is a solution to save them as well, while their IT departments are sitting on the fences watching, not doing anything about it. What you can do, if your sorry ass is affected by incompetent technical staff, is to get a portable version of a better browser.
I’ll guide you to two different browsers that works from a USB stick, Opera@USB and Firefox Portable . None of these are official versions of the browsers, but both runs the newest versions of the browser.
If you don’t have a USB stick you can install Google Chrome, that don’t require administrator rights to install.
It’s your choice.

Another photo
Adding a new photo that i took at our cottage for a few days ago. This bird came very close to me and seemed to trust me, probably because I had food to give him. I got a lot of photos of him, but struggled with the light as the bird got a bit dark. I was not able to show of his true colors as I wanted. But for my frst bird shot, I pretty pleased. The bird is a Great Tit.

Design Contest
After adding the new design, I feel my 125×125 banner should get a face lift as well. The current version is not very appealing and it certainly don’t match the site layout anymore.
So I want someone who knows how to do this to make me one. I decided to setup a contest to make some fun of it.
All you have to do to enter is to make a 125×125 banner for this site and send it to mobic (a) charmoc.com.
The winner will get a free review of their site and their banner(125×125) in my sidebar for one month. The runner up will also get a banner spot. The contest ends 08 March 2009.

New theme
My last theme didn’t fit my profile very well, so I decided to change the design. You know, the important thing when blogging is to be yourself, have a personal touch, and I feel this design fits me very well. Having a unique and fresh design also may help you in getting more readers as they see something different, not the same old as everywhere else.
There are a lot of design companies out there, some are good and some are not so good. I got my design from Unique Blog Design, where they got many nice designs at affordable prices. They also got a affiliate program if that should be of interest.

Todoist.com
I’ve used a lot of tools to keep track of my tasks, but none have been a perfect match for my needs.
Todoist.com was the answer to my prays. It’s very easy in use and got some nice plug-ins, among them one to connect it with your Gmail account and a FireFox sidebar.
It’s easy to edit existing tasks, add new and to go back and look at your history. One thing I discovered it was very handy for was making a packing list when going on holiday. My girlfriend kept nagging me, remember this, remember that. But I just used my todoist and she was very surprised that i remembered everything.
And best of all, it’s free. Keep track of your todolist, check out Todoist.com.
